National Indoor Arena

Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena or commonly abbreviated to “The NIA” is a very large indoor arena which is owned and operated by the NEC Group. The NIA is located in central Birmingham and opened its doors to the public in 1991, at the time making it the largest indoor arena in the UK.

The NIA plays host to a huge number of events from music concerts to sporting events and is capable of providing seating for 13,000 using permanent, as well as temporary seating arrangements.

The NIA is next to the BCN (Birmingham Canal Navigations) Main Line's Old Turn Junction and not too far from The Sea Life Centre in Brindley Place.

The NIA seating plan is arranged with an upper level, lower level and floor seating sections. The lower an floor level seating is removable seating unlike the upper level seating which is fixed. There are also specially designated areas for disabled patrons located on the atrium level.
